Santa Claus

Livy Anne met Mr. and Mrs. Claus this past Sunday. She was espeically fascinated by Santa's hair. She stayed calm until Santa reached out a white-gloved hand to touch her and then she turned towards the camera and snap! the souvenir picture was taken.

Here is a GREAT pic from brunch. See those two little teeth?
New favorite family pic

Surprise, you're on Candid Camera!

Livy Anne's new expression is SURPRISE! She has started doing this face a lot even just when she sees us opening our mouths (eating, yawning, talking, etc.)

Back to the post title. Here is a conversation from a few years ago:
Zac: Whit, can I be candid with you?
Whit: I wish you wouldn't.
Zac: What?
Whit: I wish you would be open and honest with me.
Zac: Do you know what candid means?
Whit: Yes, candid means hidden like... surprise, you're on candid camera.
Zac: ok, where do I start???

1st Dollhouse

While cleaning out Livy Anne's closet last week, I found this cute dollhouse. I put it in front of Livy Anne and she LOVES it! I felt like this is one of her first "big girl" moments so I snapped a few pictures of it.

This is her "smiling with the eyes" smile. I just love it!

New hiding spot

Livy Anne's main mode of transportation is rolling (Zac and I think that we will probably be pushing her in a stroller to kindergarten.... yes, I know.... she will crawl and walk when she is ready). Anyway, the other morning I put her on the floor with some toys and came a few minutes later and this is how I found her.

I could not believe it!!! I wanted to see how she did it so I left her again and hid in the doorway. She rolled off the rug onto the wood floor. Then she started pushing herself back with her arms and viola into her new hiding place.

With all this work, it's just about time for a quick power nap.

New Hairdo

Okay, it's not REALLY a new hairdo but it is Livy Anne's bath-do. Baths are getting to be fun (except when we are in a hurry and then it's all business).

Side shot - Jeff you should be proud!

Weekend Get-Away

A few weekends ago we went to Broken Bow, Oklahoma for a weekend get-away. Zac's parents and his grandmother stayed with us in the cabin. Zac and his dad went fly fishing a few times and the girls (including Charlee) hung out around the cabin. We had a wonderful time except for Livy Anne getting 3 spider bites!

Here we are walking along the water

Livy Anne's expression here is priceless.

Zac and his dad getting ready to go fly fishing.

We arrived home to a sea of leaves. Seriously, we could not believe how many leaves had fallen. Zac was so overwhelmed thinking about getting up all of the leaves, so we hired a landscape company to come do it and they collected over 40 100-gallon bags of leaves!!!

Charlee didn't mind the leaves.

Go TCU!

Livy Anne was able to attend her first TCU game a few weeks ago, TCU vs. UNLV. We made it all the way until half-time. The last couple minutes of the second quarter, she started yelling (we thought it was cheering on TCU, but it was actually an "ok, I'm done" yell). So, we headed home.

Here are Emily, Livy Anne and John Reid. There are lots of different emotions going on this picture. Livy Anne is checking out John Reid. John Reid is deciding if he wants to get mad at Livy Anne for being closer to his mom than he is.

GO TCU!!!

Here is an example of Livy Anne screaming. I really think she is trying to imitate my umm... rather loud laugh.
